ROWING.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The North Shore Bowing Club rowed a eel of trial (ours for 'boathouse trophies on Ssiurdsy afternoon. The courea wbb from the Victoria Wharf to clubhouse. Splendid. water conditions prevailed, and some very good racing was witnessed. Mr. S. Neville actod as starter, and Mr. H. Sutcliffe wafl judge. In the first hoat the craws were:—Jeffe, H. Haipor, G-. Archer, C. WatkinS; L. Spinley, B. Rykors. G. Harvey, G Loumor; Emerali, C. Bertrarid, W. Jaiws, C. De Anthoreau, This was a good even rice for half the journey, when Jeff a' ciew took tho lead, and increasing their advantago. woii by a good length. , Tho orews in tho second heat wero:—T. Harvey, G. Bykers, M Archcr, G. Fairway; 8. Rule, L. Ford, S. Haycock, C. Sutcliffe: R. Jfollas, Les. Spinley, Scott, Smith, The crews raced on even terms until the last 100yd3, when Folks'" four forged ahead, and gained the verdict by a canvas length. The final crews wore stroked by Folia 9 and Jeffs. The boats got away on even teruiß, and remained together for the first '200 yds. Then Jeffs' crew went to the front and steadily improving, won by a good length. The winning crew was: Jeffs, H. Harper, G. Archer, C. Watkins. Archer (coi).
