NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association's championship meeting Is set down for decision at Wellington on February 4, 6, 8, and 11. Nominations are due on January 24, and the Auckland Centre is engaged in tho selection of the strongest teams of senior, intermediate, and junior Bwimmers to defond the Yaldhurst and War Memorial Shields now hold by the province. The following programme has been arranged:— First Day, Saturday, February 4.—One mile championship, 100 yds championship, 100 yds ladies' championshijp, 220 yds .intermediate boys' championship, 50yds junior girls' championship. 100 yds junior boys championship, diving (open), 60yds wterrlub handicap, 75yds intermediate ,girjs breaststroke championship, 100ydB junior and intermediate inter-club handicap, round of water polo. •• Second Day, Monday, Febraary.6.—22oYd« championship, 880yda intermediate boys championship, 75yds . intermediate gills championship,. 60yds junior Xgjrla.' breaststroke championship, 75yds junior boys breaststroke .championship, 150ydo baosBtroke championship; diving, .junior and intermediate boys; 50yds ladies' intw-cmb handicap, 100 yds inter-club handicap. 100 yds dual relay handicap. MISS aNnette kellerman. An official welcome will be tendered to Miss Annette Kellerman this afternoon by members of the Auckland centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. An invitation has been extended to all swimmers to attend the function, which will t* hold at Cargen.
