TRADES UNION DEMAND.
IMMEDIATE RELIEF WORK. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Sept. 6.
At the Tradfs Union Congress at Cardiff, the president, Mr. E. Poulton, moved a resolution summing up various items on the agenda regarding unemployment, and calling on the Government to introduce practicable schemes to provide work without delay. Mr. Poulton pleaded for the removal of the terrible nightmare of unemployment. The discus sion was adjourned.
DISORDER IN DUNDEE. POOR LAW OFFICES STONED. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Sn>t. 6. Five thousand unemployed stormed the Dundee Poor Law offices, a police inspector being knocked down. Much stonefhrowing led to the polire using batons to break up the crowds, and a number of people were injured, including several women.
