XbursdaT A statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Public Workis Fund for the quarter ended June 30 was published in to-night's Gazette. There was a balance at April 1 of £489,488, of which £180,911 was cash in the public account, and receipts during the quarter, including £HX),000 ifrom Treasury bills, totalled £923,452, making a total available of £1,412,941. In the June quarter of last year, the available fund totalled £623,449. Expenditure for the quarter, in comparison with last year, was as follows: —
