NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. PROFIT ON AUSTRALIANS* TOUR. [by TELEGRAPH.—PBESS associahox] CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. At a soefiial meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, a motion moved by Poverty Bay was carried, that no challenges-, for the Hawke Cur> and Heathcot© Williams Shield be received before October 1 in each season, and that the committee reserve the right to arrange the priority of the challenges. A Wellington motion was lost, that the Plunket Shield rules be revised so that SO per cent, be paid to the visiting association, with a minimum of £30. any loss to be borne by the local association. It was reported that the tour of the Australian team would, when the accounts were finally settled ehow a credit of over £1000. Regarding the visit of an English team, it was stated tha' four Australian associations would allow the council 75 per cent, of the receipt«. Matches would be plajred in Auckland and Dufiedin at the council's risk, the council takine 10 t>er cent, of tho profits, if any.
