THE LADIES' TOURNAMENT. The championship tournament of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club was continued yesterday in very wet weather. Steady rain set in shortly after mid-day, and continued tor the greater portion of the afternoon, making the course very heavy and the playing conditions unpleasant. A fourball, best-b-ill bogey match was played in the afternoon, and resulted as fohows:— Mrs. Ma/shall and Miss M. Macfarlane, 5 up; Misses M. Payton and N. MaoCormick. 2 down: Mrs. Hughes and Miss K. Holmes, 2 down; Misses fit Hellaby and P. Bloomfield, 3 down; Misses S. Payton and M. Alison. 4 down: Mrs. Corbett and Miss F. Rathbone, 4 down. The ties in the bogey competition held on Tuesday were played off, and resulted:— Seniors: Miss M. Alison; C Grade: Miss EI Foster. The finals of the senior and junior championships will be commenced upon the arrival of the 12.10 p.m. train to-day. A consolation " match will he played in the morning, and an approaching and putting competitiop will be held after the finals of the championships have started Tie- club will entertain members and friends at afternoon tea on completion of the championships. INTER-CLUB MATCH. 'The Auckland and Maungakielie Golf Clubs will play tho second teams match of the season at the Titirangi links. New Lynn to-morrow.
