The tunnel workers at the Arthur's Pass end of' the Otira tunnel have just completed their part of the work, and Mr. BL E. Holland, M.P., has commicated with the Minister for Public Works, Hon. J. G. Coates, urging that these men should be offered employment on the Buller Gorge line.Mr. Holland points out that the tunnel workers are among the most capable railway construction workers in the Dominion and if they are allowed to disperse throughout the country, it will take a long time to get together a similar number of capable men.
