RETURN OF APRIL OPERATIONS A" return of the aviation operations in New '-Zealand during April shows that 510 passengers wwe carried; the flying time totalled 73-nours 42 minutes, and the machine mileage was 4942 v Th e New Zealand Flying School, Auckland, carried its flying record was 19 hours 22 minutes, and 12*27 miles. . The Canterbury Aviation Company/ Christchurch, carried 33 passengers; flying time, 20» hours 40 minutes—l2Bo miles. The New Zealand Aero Transport Company Timaru, carried passengers; flying fame, 33 hours 40 minutes—233s | miles lhe New .Zealand Aerial Transport Company, Hastings, Mi temporarily suspended operations. The New Zealand Flying School made some long-distance flights, including **ohe from Auckland to Onerahi and Russell A considerably part of its mileage comprises instructional flights by pupils. Th e Canterbury Atiation Company did six d»vs* 'flying (amounting to 1140 miles) on the Chnstchurch'Timaru mail service, and this is included m the returm Passenger trips w»d*j>ytte Timaru Company include two Timaru-Dunedm trips. The 'Timarn Companys .machines also visited various centres m, South Canterbury and North Otiago, and, made flights at the headquarters aerodrome.
