MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.

Sir Francis Bell, Attorney-General and Leader of the Legislative Council, leaves Wellington for Rotorua to-day, in order to meet some of the leading Maoris and discuss with them their long-standing claims regarding Lake Rotorua. Sir William Hemes was to have accompanied him, but owing to the state of Sir William's health he has to stay in Wellington. Sir William Hemes, who has been in hospital for some time, is reported to be making good progress, and is no longer confined to bed. He hopes to be able to visit Auckland at Christmas. A meeting of the Executive Council is to be held in Auckland at the week-end. The Ministers attefidi'ig will include Sir William Fraser, the Hon. E. P. Lee, and Hon. G. J. Anderson. The Hon. D. H. Guthrie, Minister for Lands, has arranged to leave for Auckland next Wednesday, in order to deal with some departmental matters, including the inauguration of the homestead system. " The Hon. C. J. Parr. Minister for Education and Public Health, will visit Auckland next week. He will speak at the annual prize-giving of the Auckland Boys" Grammar School on Thursday night.
