NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. | The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Associj ation has telegraphed to the Auckland I Centre suggesting Saturday; February 19, as the date suitable for holding the next Dominion chammonships. Yesterday the secretary. Mr. W. Morton, telegraphed in reply asking that February 26 or March 5, preferably the latter date, be fixed. The ; centre will meet on Tuesday to discuss the position. In the meantime preparations are being made to bring about a revival in local amateur athletics. Long jump, high jump. 120 yds. hurdle race, and 100 yds. primary school handicap for boys under 15 years complete the list. A medal will be given to the competitor scoring the most placed points. Nominations close at nine o'clock on Tuesday at the Sports Club. The committee has decided that admission will be by silver coin.
