It 's officially reported that armed bands of Korean malcontents were broken up in skirmishes near Shang-Teo. The Japanese captured three machine-guns and 500 rifles. Reprisals were carried out against a village, the inhabitants of which had guided Japanese troops into an ambush. Seventy houses were burned, and a number of villagers shot. In another town 130 houses and several churches and schools were destroyed, and 90 persons executed.

SUPPLIES FROM BOLSHEVIKS. (Received 7.30 p.m.) Renter. TOKIO. Dec. 7. The Japanese War Office has announced the seizure of documents purporting to show that Koreans in the Chin Tao district purchased a large amount of supplies from Bolsheviks, including 50 machineguns and 3000 tifles. A considerable number of these arms have already been captured from the Koreans.
