GERMAN ESPIONAGE.
SPIES IN AMERICAN ARMY. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. Dec. 8. An American army lieutenant named Willet has confessed * that his real name is Hans Willers. He was a cadet in the German army until 1914, when, with 300 other cadets, he was sent to the United States to join the army and become officers. • Willers did not serve in France, his identity being discovered when the secret service investigated his career following his desertion with funds belonging to his company.
