THE LAST EXPRESSES ARRIVE.
PASSENGERS FROM WELLINGTON. Although the strike commenced at midnight on Tuesday all long-dirtance trams then running were taken to their destinations. The usual two express trains arrived from Wellington yesterday. The trains were smaller than usual. The morning express, which comprised five carriages, brought 175 passengers, while the afternoon train, comprising six carriages, brought, about 220 persons.
