ANXIETY OF FARMERS.
AUCKLAND RESOLUTION.
OFFER OF ASSISTANCE. The view taken of the strike situation by farmers was expressed at a special meeting of the executive of the Auckland Provincial Farmers' Unifcn held yesterday afternoon. Mr. Jame s Boddie, provincial president, in the chair.
It was decided to forward to the Prime Minister, and the local officials of the Enginedrivers, Cleaners, and Firemen's Association a copy of the following resolution, which was adopted by the meeting: —" That this executive, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the dispute leading to the railway strike, views with extreme anxiety the threatened serious dislocation of the primary producing industries, and will do all in its power to assist in restoring the necessary means of transit.'"
