AMERICAN STRIKE ENDS.
SETTLEMENT WITH MINERS. STATE'S OFFER ACCEPTED. WAGES TO BE INCREASED. By Telegraph—Press Association— A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON. Dec; 4. The miners have accepted the proposal of Mr. B. M. Wilson, Secretary of Labour, to settle the strike on a basis of practically the previous offer of a 14 per cent.'' increase in wages, an offer which the men originally rejected.
