COUNTY COUNCIL CHAIRMEN.
RESULTS OF ELECTIONS. The annual statutory meetings of county councils were held yesterday for the purpose of electing chairmen. The follswing are results of elections: — Waitemata County: Mr. H. Aitkenhead, re-elected for the third time. Manukau County: Mr. A. D. Bell, reelected for the third time. Whangarei County: Mr. W. Jones. Hobson County: Mr. V. Trounson, unanimously re-elected. Piako County: Mr. J. B. Thomas, Waihou Riding, unanimously re-elected. Rotorua County: Mr. C. Turner, reelected. Westland County: Mr. T. W. Bruce.
