COURTHOUSE FOR TE PUKE.
REQUEST MADE TO MINISTER.

TAURANGA. Wednesday. During the visit of the Hon. W. ' H Hemes to Te Puke, members of the legal profession, Town Board, and the local Justices of the Peace waited on the Minister and urged that steps be taken to provide a courthouse at Te Puke. It was stated that there was an unexpended vote of £500 on the Estimates for a courthouse. The deputation urged thai the expenditure of this vote be authorised. Mr. Hemes, in reply, promised to place the representations before the Ministers for Justice and Public Works.
