NEW SCHEME IN WESTLAND. [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. Important developments regarding hydroelectric power from Toaroha Canyon," Kokatahi district, Westland, are likely to eventuate in connection with a larse mining enterprise on Rimu Flat, where a strong American company is taking up dredging^ The suggestion is that the machinery be worked by electric power generated at Toaroha. The line will traverse a large agricultural district, and the enterprise is looked upon here with great satisfaction.
