AVIATION IN CANTERBURY.
A SPECTACULAR FLIGHT. [BY TELEGRAPH — CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A very fine exhibition of flying over the city was given yesterday afternoon by Capta-n J. H. D'-'nn, of Dunedin, in the Bristol fighter, from Sockburn, and with ■a mechanic as passenger. The machine was put into a vast variety of evolutions, including a spin in which a dozen complete turns were effected. Captain Donn completed yesterday the temporary engagement he accepted with the Defence Department to superintend the military machines. He intends to return to hi? profession as a dentist.
