CONQUEROR OF PALESTINE.
LORD ALLENBY IN ENGLAND. WARM WELCOME AT LONDON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 17. Field Marshal Lord Allenby received, warm ovations at Dover and London on his arrival from Egypt. Speaking at Dover he paid a high tribute to his predecessor in Palestine, General Sir James Wolfe Murray, who, he said, had well prepared the way for victory.
