LONDON, Aug. 9.
The Press Bureau states: The executive of the Miners' Federation in Britain, in a manifesto, strenuously appeals to the loyalty of the miners, urging them to assist to carry out the executive's pledge to the Government to do its utmost to increase the output of coal. The manifesto emphasises the increased demands of the Allies and of neutrals, and also points out that by supplying neutrals we receive foodstuffs, and likewise raw materials necessary for the prosecution of the war, and besides use their shipping, which is of the utmost importance at the present time.
