ANOTHER FINE DAY.
FORECAST BY MR. C. L. WRAGGE. The following weather forecast was issued by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7 p.m. yesterday : —
'" The centre of the present remarkable high pressure covers the whole region of the Wanganui River. The depression named Avith has passed south from Stewart's Island, having been forced into high latitudes by the energy of the anticyclone, much as a billiard ball is repelled by the cushion. _In the circumstances, another fine day is expected, but a new depression is certainly coming, bringing unsettled weather, in terms of recent advices. Winds between east and north, and the barometer falling soon. Sea, smooth to moderate. The present is a most favourable time for planting operations, while the moon is waxing, and before the coming rain horticulturists should be quick, and make the most of it. '
