WEST END CLUB. Pair oar races for trophies presented by. Mr. Dobson were rowed on Saturday by the West End Rowing Club. The results were:— heat: Cowley and Benjaman beat Conway and Collins by 2ft. Second heat: Murray and E. Beamish beat Hugill and Co.ulam by 3ft. Third heat: deal and Macredie beat Trevarthen and Cossey by sft. Fourth heat: H. Beamish and Norden beat Sheffield and Hugill by Ift. Semi-final: Cowley and Benjaman beat Murray and E. Beamish by 2ft; H. Seamish and Norden beat Cleal and Macredie by half-a-length. Final: Cowley and Benjaman rowed a dead heat with H. Beamish and Norden. AUCKLAND CLUB. Novice pair-oar trials for Mr. C. H. Moses's trophies were held by the Auckland Rowing Club during last week. Results —First heat: Pearson and C. Kirk beat Faulkner and C. Butler. Second heat: McMillan and Lawrence beat Brodie and Blaikie. Third heat: W. Stevenson and C. Butler beat Marsden and E. Butler. Semi-final : W. Stevenson and C. Butler beat McMillan and Lawrence. Final: Stevenson and C. Butler beat V. Pearson and C. Kirk.
