Mount Eden from the opening rally launched a solid attack from the right wing, the ball being taken in by Hendry and A. After a. period of interesting play Westwood picked up the ball near half-way and beat the opposition, but was unable to score. Soon Garrard got the ball from a series of passes and scored the second goal for University. Areta commenced an offensive, and some interesting plav resulted Waddingnam again scored for Universitv bv good hitting. Shortly afterwards York scored first for Areta. Areta kept, up the attack, but Garrard, seizing a lucky opening, scored for University. Areta still went on. and Westwood scored again The students attacked from 'he bully and Areta were hemmed in. but a. long hit cleared and sent the ball to the other end. Areta extricated themselves from an uncomfortable position about six minutes before time, and made a quick attack. Ycrk again scoring.
