TELEGRAPH COMPANY'S SHIELD.
The annual competition for tho Western Electric Telegraph Company's Shield between units of the Now Zealand Post and Telegraph Engineers' Corps and Senior Cadets took place at the various centres during February. Eight teams competed, the ranges being 2Coyfls nn.l 500yds.»witli a possible score of 500 po nt?. No. .1 Company Engineers, Blenheim, won with a score of 395 points, No. 90 Company, Senior Cadets, Auckland, being fccond, with 314 points. The positions of the competing (emus were as follows:—No. 3 Company Engineers. Blenheim, 395. 1; No. 90 Company, Senior Cadets, Auckland, 3-1-1, 2: No. 4 Company Engineers, Wanganui. .136. 3: No. 8 Company Engineers, Wellington (A team), 322; No. 3 Company Engineers, Nelson. 318; No. V Company Engineers, Wellington, 315, No. 2 Company Engineers, Timaru. '2G5: No. 8 Company Engineers, Wellington (B team I. 217, The Blenheim Company has now won tho shield for tho third time.
