STRIKE IN ARGENTINE.
POSITION GROWS SERIOUS. TALK OF GENERAL LOCKOUT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.50 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 17. Tho Buenos Aires correspondent of tho Daily Chronicle states that the railway strike is growing more serious. Damago by rioting and derailments are of daily occurrence. The Government action is feeble, tho decree of martial law being flouted. Tho commercial community suggests a general lockout as a protest against syndicalist tyranny.
