A Russian communique states :-We delivered an attack in the Erection of Vilna, and occupied a portion of the enemy's positions, penetrating to a depth of two miles in the neighbourhood of Krevo! More than 1000 prisoners were taken. The development of the success « jeopardised by the instability or moral weakness of certain detachments. .Numbers of officers perished in fulfilling their duties. np ; man communique states :-A Russian attack near Krevo penetrated our positions.
