PETROGRAD TRANSFORMED BY RUSSIAN SUCCESS.
PESSIMISM SUBMERGED BY WAVE OF PATRIOTISM.
EXPLOITS OF ANARCHISTS AND MUTINEERS FORGOTTEN. Rente (Received 8.5 p.m.) PETROGRAD. July 3. ■News of the Russian success has transformed the city. Pessimism has vanished, and a wave of patriotism has diverted attention from the exploits of anarchists and mutinous soldiers. The national tricolor is prominent in the streets. A procession, headed by General Kussky and Russian staff officers arm in arm with officers of the allies, marched to the headquarters of the Government, where patriotic speeches were delivered from the balcony. Australian and (Becked 7 p.m.) PETROGRAD. July 3. M. bkobeloff, Minister for Labour, and Vice-President of the Council of Workmen and Soldiers Delegates, declared in a speech that it was the duty of the democracy to acknowledge that Russia was not ready for Socialism. It was essential to co-operate with the bour. goisie in order to secure the triumph of freedom. The Government would take firm and energetic measures against street riots, shootings and anarchist demonstrations. ' Meantime, firmness is absent in Petrograd, although it is urgently needed and anarchists are uncontrolled.
