BOELKE BROUGHT DOWN.
GERMANY'S BEST AIRMAN.
BEATEN BY BRITISH AVIATOR. Reuter. AMSTERDAM. Oct. 30. A British aviator has brought down Lieutenant Boelke, Germany's famous airman, who had accounted for more opponents than any other of the enemy's flying men.
Boelke asked the Kaiser during his visit to the Somme to be removed to the Eastern front because he had quarrelled with Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria. The Kaiser refused because Boelke was regarded as Germany's air mascot.
