ONEHUNGA COUNCIL.
THE TRAM SERVICE. Tht. Onehunga Borough Council met on Monday night. There were present the Mayor, Mr. .1. Rowe, and Messrs. E. V. Sutherland, E. J. Higgins, G. L. Taylor, H. J. Davies, \V. J. Brewin, and W\ W. Warnock. Mr. C. Moon wrote complaining of the action of the Tramways Company in not providing sufficient cars in the early morning to carry passengers with weekly tickets, to the city from Onehunga. It frequently happens, said the writer, that by the time the car from Onehunga reaches the Royal Oak it is full ; this ; means waiting for another car, which ' often enough is also full when it reaches I the same place. By the. time a third car ! arrives the time limit of the ticket (8 ' am.) has expired, and another fare is de- : manded from the holder of weekly tickets | for travelling after that hour. On the motion of the Mayor the letter was referred to the Council in committee, to he considered next Monday night, together with the deed of delegation.
