WOODLAND FETE.
♦ Fn&n£ES! arrangements for the Woodland Fete, to be held at Parnell Park next Saturday afternoon, were discussed last night at a largely-attended meeting of tho Victoria League Girls' Club. Mrs. C. J. Parr presided. Messrs. Louisson and Fenton, representing the Aeroplane Committee, and also Mr. W. Crowther, are now working with tho Girls' Club, rendering valuable assistance in the preparation to which all members are devoting untiring energy. Arrangements are being mado for a brass band to play at the Dark. Tho work of erecting the stalls will be taken in hand shortly. Tho park jummerhousos will also bo utilised to the fullest extent. As a lar£o attendance of returned soldiers is particularly desired, Hie members of the Motor Reserve Corps iavo promised to use their cars in conveying the men to and from the. park. For ihe convenience of other patrons two taxis will run between the park and the top )f St. Stephen's Avenue, for which a threepenny faro -will bo charged.
