SPORT IN THE PROVINCE.
DISTRIBUTION OF GAME. Towards 'ho stocking of the gamefields of the Auckland district m'.h pheasants for future shooting, 370 youi % birds, bred at the Drury game farm, have within the last three months been distributed by the Auckland' Acclimatisation Society. The details of the distribution are as hilowsOhinemuri Society, 55; Thanus Gr e Preservation Society, 30-. King Country Acclimatisation Society. 50; Clevedon Rod and Gun Club, 28; Waiuku R. ami 0. Club, 18; To Aroha R. and G. Club, 20; Huntly R. and G. Club, 50; Hamilton R. and 6. Club, 24; Waingaro (F. C. Bull), 20; Glen Murray (Mackay), 15; Takapuna (F. Quick), 5; Turua (G. Nichol), 10; Ohinewai R. and G. Club, 20; Cambridge R. and G. Club, 15; Heleiisville, 10. During the past season 270 pheasants' eggs have been supplied bv the society to its King Country, Huntly, Ohinemun, and To Aroha branches; in about- equal quantities. Trout fry to the extent of 113,500 were distributed last year to various districts, in the Auckland Province, the greatest quantity being 15,750 sent to Te Aroha.
