GENEROUS BEQUESTS.
LATE MR. J. C. MACKY'S WILL.
£20,000 FOR EMPLOYEES.
Particulars of the will of the late Mr. J. C. Macky, of the firm of Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd., who, with his wife, was among the victims of the Lusitania tragedy in May last, disclose a number of generous bequests. Personal legacies reach a considerable amount. Other benefactions include the following —Unitarian Church, £1000; Door of Hope, £1000; Jubilee Institute for the Blind, £1000; Plunket Nurse Society, £500; St. James's Presbyterian Church. £500; Kindergarten Association, £500; Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage, £500; employees of Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd., £20,000. The lastnamed bequest applies to all those employees actually in the employment of the firm at the time of deceased's death, and also to those who had left the firm's employment by reason of old age, infirmity, ill-health, or accident. The four eldest sons of the deceased are the executors.
