RUSH OF RECRUITS.
QUEUES IN THE RAIN. RECORD ENROLMENTS. (Received December 11, 1 »Jn».) London, December 10. Despite a downpour of rain, there are long queues at all the recruiting stations. There has been record enrolment in London, previous figures being quadrupled. Some recruits were waiting at seven o'clock in the morning and many officers were busy until midnight. There are encouraging reports of an immense response in all the provincial towns. There has been such a rush of recruits that the medical examinations have been deferred.
