BOWLING
AUCKLAND CLUB. The committee of the Auckland Bowling Club has decided to open the green for play on September 18. The green will be open on Saturdays and Wednesdays until the end of October. The green will not be available for ay on those days on which rain falls after 8 a.m. It is worthy of note that the green has never before been opened so J** 17 , "J *b* "**»!»• The forward state of the turf « due in a great measure to the removal of the old pavilion and the better drainage of the club s property.
