LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening. Mr. A A. Martin, president of the association, was nominated as a vice-president of the New Zealand Association. Information was received from the New Zealand Association that the New Zealand championship meeting was definitely abanWith reference, to the Wilding Memorial Fund,, it was decided to hold over the effort in this direction until the opening of the season.
.Applications for affiliation with the association were received from the Pukekohe East and Papatoetoe Clubs. The applications were accepted, subject to the rules and constitution of the clubs being in order. The secretary of the Te Mata Club wrote withdrawing the club's application for affiliation, and the withdrawal was accepted. The following sub-committee was set up to report to the .next meeting as to what tournaments or inter-club competi&ass. if any, should be held during the coming season:— W. A. Brown, W. B. Fee, E. Hickson. A. A. Martin, and the secretary.
