This will bring the total number of beds in the establishment up to 300. The volunteer hospital personnel organised by Miss Macdonald, of Wanganui, left for the Mediterranean by the Sydney steamer yesterday. They are going at their own expense. The Government will provide a house for them at Suez and will do all the catering for them. The Minister for Defence has already received a cheque for £250 for expenses, and the party take with them for the hospital a quantity of stores. The staff of the hospital who left yesterday by the Sydney steamer were:— Sister Earby, of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service; Nurse K. Booth, who is also in the Army Nursing Service; Nurse N. L. Hughes, Miss Nina Macdonald, , Miss Ruth Cameron, Miss L. McLaren, Miss Mysto McDonnell, Miss Eliza Mci Donnell, and Quartermaster-Sergeant G. H. B. Sleight.
