GERMAN LINES BRISTLE WITH MACHINE-GUNS.
ONE TO EVERY TWELVE MEN ALONG PARTS OF FRONT.
London, June 18.
The German recapture of a portion of the trenches gained by the British at Festubert was largely due to machine-guns and hand grenades. It is stated that in some parts of the German front there is one machine-gun for every twelve men.
