DUBLIN FUSILIERS CHARGE WITH THE BAYONET.

London, June 17.

The Government Official Press Bureau reports that on Tuesday night a party of the enemy, led by a German officer, gallantly attacked the trenohes held by a British brigade at the Dardanelles. The few who reached the parapet were killed, but the majority fell 'before reaching the trenches. Fifty were killed, including the leader and a Turkish subordinate.

Strong bombing parties also led an attack on trenches the British had captured on Saturday night, and forced the occupants back 30yds till daybreak. British machine-guns then enfiladed the evacuated trench, and the Dublin Fusiliers attacked with the bayonet. They reoccupied the trench, in which 200 dead Turks were found. Twelve prisoners were taken. The British casualties were slight.
