RECEIVING GREAT KINDNESS FROM TURKISH OFFICERS.

Wellington, June 18-

The High Commissioner has sent the following cable from London under date 17th inst.: " Authentic reports indicate that New Zealand and Australian officers who are- prisoners of war at Constantinople are well treated.' The following message has reached London from Captain McDonald, an Australian officer: ' I am in Constantinople with other prisoners of war. We have received great kindness from Turkish officers, and have received advance pay from Commandant Djevad Bey.' "
