THE AUCKLAND SHOW.

THIS YEAR'S DATES. REDUCED TO TWO DAYS. ADDITIONAL ATTRACTIONS. The executive of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association met yesterday afternoon at the rooms 'if th» association, the president, Mr. S. W. Luxford, presiding. A sub-committee, which had boon s<-t up to report as to the deficiency on last year's show and to suggest a date (or this year's show— the executive had already decided, should he held on two days only, instead of three—submitted its recommendations as follows :— That tho 1915 show bo held on Friday and Saturday, November 26 and 27. That negotiations be opened with the Waikato .\. and P. Association with the object of endeavouring to induce them to hold their show at least two weeks before tin Auckland show, and to ask that a representative of the Waikato Association should cu-operate with the secretary of the Auckland Association with the view of securing exhibits from the Waikato. That the Horses .Schedule Revision Committee and the Programme Committee he asked to consider at on early date the advisability of putting more attractions on future show programmes. That attention be given to the question of turnstiles.

The chairman, in moving the adoption of the recommendations, said he had waited upon the chairman of the Takapuna Jockey Club, Mr. E. W. Alison, and expressed the wish of the association that a clash should be avoided between the show dates and those of tho Takapuna race meeting. Mr. Alison agreed that it was undesirable for the dates to clash, but said that th« club's meeting would be held on the same dates as last year—namely, the last- Wednesday and Saturday in November. The subcommittee had to fix tho show dates as recommended, in order to avoid clashing with any other show, and to allow of a sufficient interval elapsing between the Auckland and Waikato shows for exhibits to come forward from the Waikato. It was unfortunate that other dates could not have been fixed.

The sub-committee's recommendation* were adopted. It was decided by resolution to adhere to the rule fixing the rat© of membership fees at one guinea.
