THE SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN
ANOTHER VESSEL SUNK. ELEVEN LIVES LOST / (Received April 3, 2 a.m.) London, April 2. The steamer Seven Seas, bound from London to Liverpool, has been torpedoed off Beachy Head without warning. A terrific explosion occurred and tore the bottom out of the vessel, which sank in three minutes. Eleven persons were drowned and seven were saved. The steamer Emma, which was nearly split in two, also sank in three minutes.
