MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. A. L. Herdman, Minister for Justice, arrived in Auckland from Wellington on Thursday afternoon by the Main Trunk express. The Minister has paid a visit of inspection to the Mount hden gaol, and has also visited the forts on the North Shore. Ho will be in attendance at the Ministers' room at the Post Office Buildings on Tuesday morning, when he will receive deputations, and will leave by the midday express on that day, on a '-'sit to the Waikeria prison establishment. Mr Herdman is staying at the Northern Club. The Hon. W. H. Herries, Minister for Railways, arrived from the South yesterday by the afternoon express on a brief visit to Auckland. The Minister is staying at the Northern Club.
