THE SERVIAN FUND.
APPEAL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS. Mr. 0. L. Scansib writes: Will you please acknowledge through the columns of your paper a further sum of £40 towards the Servian Relief Fund? Of this amount £30 was collected at Kaihu, and £10 sent to the trustee (Mr. (J. J. Parr, Mayor of Auckland), by the Hunterville War Relief Fund. Would you kindly thank this fund, on my behalf, for their kindness in helping to alleviate the sufferings of the sturdy little Servians? I trust many people in New Zealand and elsewere will also help this noble cause. No matter how little, it will assist in feeding the starving women and children, who suffer even worse than their heroic husbands and fathers, who have been killed on the terrible battlefield.
