THE EXPORT TRADE.

INCREASE FOR SEASON.

SHIPMENT BY ROTORUA.

The quantity of butter coming forward for export is now showing a marked falling off. The steamer Corinna, which will leave Onehunga for Wellington on -Monday, will take 3517 boxes of butter from the Auckland Province for transhipment to the Kotorua, for London. This consignment advances tlio export of butter to London this season to 331,744 boxes, compared with 245,218 boxes sent to the same market during tho corresponding period of last season.

The shipments of butter from Auckland since July 1, including the consignment by the Rotoru.:.. now reach a total of 406,928 boxes, as ci mpared with 377,215 boxes last season. Tl us the output shows an increase of 29,713 boxes, or a little over 7J per cent. Details of the manner in which the shipments during the two periods have been distributed among the various markets are shown in the following table :— 1914-15. 1913-H. Boxes, Boxes. Taking the lower basis, the value of the Rotorua'a shipment is £10,937 f.o.b. Auckland. The approximate value of the season's export to date is 11,259,145. A total < f 521 crates of cheese is also being taken by the Corinna for transhipment to the Rotorua. This brings the output of cheese for the season to 16,657 crates, compared with 13,000 crates exported during tho corresponding period of last season.
