WEATHER IN WELLINGTON.
HEAVY RAIN AND WIND. (.BY TELEGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. A strong wind and heavy rain this morning made things unpleasant for those contemplating outings, but by midday the weather had cleared up and the afternoon was fine but breezy. The morning's showers caused a postponement of the provincial tennis championship meeting but the local bowling centre/a pairs tournement was started in the- afternoon. Otherwise, the day passed quietly.
