ENEMY MAKE SOME PROGRESS

Paris, October 25.
An official communique states; There have been inevitable fluctuations on our left wing, our line being generally held. The enemy has progressed north of Dixmunde, in Belgium, and around La Bassee. We have advanced very appreciably in the east of the Nieuport region and at Laughemark, and between Armentieres and Lille we have repulsed several day and night attacks. | We have taken the village of Melezicourt, west of the Argonne, commanding the route from Varennes to the Aisne Valley. Else- ' where we have slightly progressed at several points. Our advance in j the Woevre region continues in the I direction of Mont Mare Forest, south of Thiaueourt. i i i
