The Premier has received, from the High Commissioner, the following cablegram :—

The Admiralty reports that a German submarine was rammed and sunk by the British destroyer Badger, off the Dutch coast. The destroyer's bows were slightly damaged.

The British destroyer Badger was laid down in 1911. She* is of 780 tons displacement, and in her trials recorded 30$ knots.
