NOTES AND COMMENTS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association will be held on October The Ponsonby Cricket Club will open the season this afternoon with a net practice _?t Victoria Park. All members and intending members are requested to attend at 2.30 p.m. The Eden District Cricket Club will hold a practice this afternoon providing the weather remains fine in the meantime. , The Pamell Cricket Club will hold a practice in the Domain A full attendance of members and intending members is requested The secretary of the Auckland Cricket Association, Mr. J. H. Watts, has received word to the effect that the Wellington and Canterbury Associations have accepted the respective dates at Christmas aiifl New Tear for matches against the Auckland representatives.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The annual meeting cf the North Shore District Cricket Club will be held in the Council Chambers, Devonport, on Monday, at 7.45 p.m. . All members and intending members, active and honorary, are requested to attend. Inducement will be offered to new members in the way of reduced subscriptions, particularly to the younger players.
