BRAVE OFFICER DECORATED-
Paris, August 14.
Since the first day of the mobilisation of the French Army General Joffre, the commanding officer, has covered 1000 miles in his motor-ear, visiting various points on the frontier. His chauffeur is the famous racing motorist Boillot.
General Joffro decorated with the Legion of Honour Lieutenant Bruyant, who at the head of seven dragoons charged 30 Uhlans. The dragoons killed the officer and put the Uhlans to flight.
